Raymond Harold Herrington

Raymond Harold Herrington, age 72, of Magnet Cove, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. He was born on May 9, 1951, in Malvern, AR, the son of C. E. “Pete” and Lois Graves Herrington. Raymond was a Magnet Cove Highschool graduate of 1970 and went on to retire from Alcoa in Benton. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church as well as a Mason in the Congo Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed being at his son’s farm with him, woodworking, watching his granddaughters play sports, traveling on his motorcycle and was an avid deer hunter.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents C. E. “Pete” and Lois Herrington, and brother Clifton Herrington.

Left to cherish his memory, loving wife of 41 years, Merilyn Herrington; son, Gabe Herrington ( Heather) of Magnet Cove; stepsons, Steve Henson( Jennifer) of Chattanooga, TN, and Eric Henson ( Jaimie) of Malvern; sisters, Novilla Harper ( Johnny) of Magnet Cove and Dianna Launius ( Gary) of Glen Rose; granddaughters, Emma Fuller ( Ethan), Ava and Hadley Herrington; step grandchildren, Kaylen Harkins ( Spencer), Dariann Farnam, Derick Henson ( Samantha), Harley Farnam ( Rachel); 4 great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 30th from 6- 8pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Monday April 1st at 10 am at Regency Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Bobby Goodknight and Bro. Rickey Poynor officiating. Burial to follow at Magnet Cove Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Cody Ferguson, David Koller, Chad Launius, Ethan Fuller, Neil Hignight, Charlie Herrington, Scott Bennett, Jody Bennett, and Bryan Launius.

Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Slate, Dave Bennett, Johnny Harper, and Johnny Herrington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Childrens Hospital.
