Panthers, Lady Panthers rack up points at Georgia Pacific Relays

GURDON — The Magnet Cove Panthers and Lady Panthers had a productive representation while competing in several events Thursday during the annual Georgia Pacific Relays hosted at Go-devil Stadium in Gurdon.

The Lady Panthers finished seventh place overall and racked up 34 points. Tracksters Brailyn Koller, Taysia Buckley, Cheylynn Mcclard, Kori Dawson and Braelyn Mcentire all placed to rack up points in field and running events. Baylie Martin also competed well for Magnet Cove during her event in the shot put.

The Lady Panthers’ 4 x 800 Meter Relay Team won first place with a winning time of 12:08.38.

The Panthers had several tracksters to compete in the boys meet to represent well in Gurdon. Will Thompson placed seventh to earn points in the discus throw.

MAGNET COVE LADY PANTHERS TRACK RESULTS Sr. High Girls

In the 400 Meter Dash — Brailyn Koller placed eighth with a time of 1:13.23; and Braelyn Mcentire finished with a time of 1:22.37.

In the 800 Meter Run — Taysia Buckley placed fifth with a time of 2:49.15; and Brailyn Koller finished with a time of 3:08.34.

In the 1600 Meter Run — Cheylynn Mcclard placed fifth with a time of 6:49.34.

In the 3200 Meter Run— Cheylynn McClard placed fourth with a time of 14:58.29. In the 4 x 800 Meter Relay —Magnet Cove Lady Panther Relay team placed first with a winning time of 12:08.38.

In the Pole Vault — Braelyn Mcentire placed fourth with a jump of 6-0.

In the Discus —Kori Dawson placed fourth with a throw of 83-0.

In the Shot Put— Kori Dawson finished with a throw of 25-10; and Baylie Martin finished with a throw of 21-3.

In the 400 Meter Dash — Anthony Villezcas finished with a time of 1:01.59; and River Williams finished with a time of 1:08.98.

In the 1600 Meter Run — Peyton Plyler finished with a time of 6:31.56.

In the 300 Meter Hurdles — Landon Brown finished with a time of 54.76.

In the Long Jump — Will Thompson finished with a jump of 15-9.

In the Triple Jump—will Thompson finished with a jump of 33-1.

In the Discus — Will Thompson placed seventh with a throw of 115-0.

In the Shot Put — Will Thompson finished with a throw of 32-8; and Tanner Mcjunkins finished with a throw of 29-9.
