October 3

11:37 a.m. Someone called to report a disturbanc­e on Old Mammoth Road and said the store owner was verbally fighting with a customer who refused to leave the premises.

3:34 p.m. Someone called to report suspicious circumstan­ces on Old Mammoth Road and said “scammers” were in the parking lot asking people for Venmo informatio­n. The reporting person said a lot of children were in the area as well.

5:16 p.m. Someone called to report an animal issue on Vacation Place and said a dog had been barking for over eight hours. The reporting person said they did not know the exact address of the home with the dog but they are located within the cul de sac.

October 4

11:29 a.m. Someone called to report a possible hazard on Minaret Road and said they had received a report of a broken down Toyota blocking part of the roadway.

5:15 p.m. Someone called to report suspicious circumstan­ces on Old Mammoth Road and said a disable person was sitting at the produce section and was not responding to questions.

8:53 p.m. Someone called to report suspicious circumstan­ces on Main Street and said they believed a group of males that had be hanging out in the area intended to harm them. The reporting person said all of the people in the group were riding bikes.

October 5

12:34 a.m. Someone called to report an intoxicate­d person on Sierra Park Road and said a drunk man was sleeping under a blanket by the employee parking area.

8:33 a.m. Someone called to request a welfare check on Canyon Boulevard and said they had received a text message from a subject stating they were seeking death with compassion options. The reporting person believed the subject was suicidal and would like officers to go check on them.

8:33 a.m. Someone called to report suspicious circumstan­ces on Forest Trail and said a white Sprinter van had been parked across the street for three days and they were unsure if someone was inside.

8:43 a.m. Someone called to report a suspicious person on Lake Mary Road and said a man with a white beard, wearing a beanie and shorts had jumped out the of woods and scared them. The reporting person said the man was verbally aggressive and was calling them obscene names then continued to walk toward the trailhead.

10:42 a.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Larkspur Lane to advise on illegal camping.

October 6

11:08 a.m. Someone called to report a trespasser on Old Mammoth

Road and said a male customer had been disturbing the employees and would like officers to remove the man from the business. The reporting person said they were afraid to refuse the man service due to his strange behavior.

1:43 p.m. Someone called to request a welfare check on S Frontage Road at the Laurel Mountain bus stop and said a male subject was lying face down on the bench and had not moved for the past couple of hours.

4:59 p.m. Someone called to report a suspicious person on Sherwin Creek Road and said the male occupant inside a small red car appeared to be on “some sort of substance.”

11:05 p.m. Someone called to report an intoxicate­d person on Chateau Drive and said a drunk man was wandering around their house. The reporting person said the man was wearing a hoodie and a backpack.

October 7

8:52 p.m. Someone called to report suspicious circumstan­ces on S.R.

203 and said the driver of a dark colored SUV was yelling and screaming at them and attempting to pass them on the right and left to box them in. The reporting person said they were enroute to the Police Station and would like an officer to meet them.

9:10 p.m. Someone called to report suspicious circumstan­ces on Sawmill Cutoff and said someone had threatened them to get into their car. The reporting person said the subject claimed to have a gun but it was not visible.

October 8

1:32 a.m. Someone called to report a suspicious person on Old Mammoth Road and said a female customer was not wearing shoes, appeared to be disoriente­d and had been wandering around the store for a couple of hours.

1:38 p.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Old Mammoth Road due to a complaint of a person who was selling puppies, which appeared to be sick, in a parking lot.

6:10 p.m. Someone called to report a trespasser on Manzanita Road and said an unknown male subject had been entering their apartment. The reporting person said they were able to push the subject outside and lock all windows and doors but would like officers to remove the man from the area.

October 9

2:04 p.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Hillside Drive to check on a report of a possible squatter.

9:15 p.m. Someone called to report suspicious circumstan­ces on Mammoth Creek Road and said a couple of males carrying knives were kicking and banging on the bathroom door attempting to get in. The reporting person said they were familiar with the men but did not know their names.
