Everyone knows Ben Affleck has had a tough year. Entertainment media and tabloid sites have covered the actor’s divorce from Jennifer Garner, his romances with other women, and his ongoing struggles with alcohol addiction. Affleck acknowledged “a slip” after TMZ photographed him stumbling out of a West Hollywood hotel, clearly inebriated. As Affleck’s longtime friend Matt Damon lamented in an interview, the coverage of Affleck has been pretty relentless. Damon, 49, said that he worries about the impact the coverage is having on his friend’s personal life.
