Boulevard closed after car hits pole

Sir Francis Drake Boulevard was shut down in both directions west of Fairfax after a driver struck a utility pole on Monday.

The collision was reported at 11:38 a.m. near Baywood Canyon, east of White’s Hill, the Marin County Fire Department said.

California Highway Patrol Officer Andrew Barclay said no other cars were involved and no one was hurt.

The road was reopened by 1 p.m., the fire department said.
