Office filed felony charges of residential burglary, aggravated trespass and prowling on Tuesday.
The investigation began last month after D’Angelo was identified as the suspect in a burglary on Dec. 22, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.
In that incident, D’Angelo is accused of entering an occupied home of a senior woman while she slept. The victim awoke to see the man standing naked in her room. She screamed and he fled, the sheriff’s office said.
Authorities learned that a suspicious man and a vehicle had been seen loitering in the area. A resident took a photograph of the suspect’s car, which linked D’Angelo to the crime, the sheriff’s office said.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested D’Angelo in the area of Seminary Cove Drive on Friday after he was seen walking from the yard of the home he is accused of burglarizing in December.
D’Angelo was previously arrested in Sonoma County for a similar crime. He was released on bail in that case, the sheriff’s office said.
