Curry is getting his own Jordan-style brand
Stephen Curry admitted he’s a little jealous of the NBA players competing for a championship during the league’s restart in Florida. Luckily for the Warriors star, he apparently has a pretty sweet consolation prize awaiting him.
Curry will reportedly soon be securing his own brand at Under Armour, in much the same way Nike created a separate Jordan brand that dramatically increased the NBA legend’s footprint.
The announcement of Curry’s new brand at UA is expected within the next month, according to Letsgowarriors.com, which has deep connections in the shoe market.
The new Curry brand will naturally be accompanied by the release of the latest of his signature shoes, the Curry8 Flow. And, as it tends to happen with the marketing of new shoes, there was a “leaked” video showing Curry’s new kicks.
This time, the Warriors played a role in the seemingly unauthorized sneak peek. The team inadvertently posted an Instagram video clip of Curry working out at the Warriors facility while wearing the Curry8 Flows. It was quickly deleted, but not before the video was copied and reposted by others.

INDIANS PLACE 2 PITCHERS ON RESTRICTED LIST AFTER VIOLATIONS » The Cleveland Indians placed starters Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac on the restricted list after the pitchers broke team rules by leaving their hotel in Chicago last weekend and risked exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
Clevinger and Plesac went out Saturday night with a group of people following the Indians’ win over the White Sox. The team had implemented a code of conduct for players to follow on the road, forbidding them from socializing outside of team staff.
The Indians immediately sent Plesac home in a car service after learning of his violation, but the Indians were not aware Clevinger had been with him until after he flew back to Cleveland with his teammates, coaches and other personnel.

PORTLAND BEATS ORLANDO 2-1 TO CLAIM MLS IS BACK CHAMPIONSHIP » Dario Zuparic’s first goal of the season gave Portland a 2-1 victory against Orlando in the MLS is Back finale.
Orlando was slow to react to Diego Valeri’s corner kick in the 66th minute, allowing Eryk Williamson to collect the ball, change direction and take a shot that Jeremy Ebobisse deflected to Zuparic’s feet. Zuparic didn’t have to do much to get it by Pedro “The Octopus” Gallese, who had made two fantastic saves in the lead-up to the corner kick.
The goal set off a raucous celebration on the sideline and sent Orlando into panic mode. The Lions had a chance in the closing minutes, but failed to get the equalizer.
