Council to review cost for park repairs
The estimated cost to repair the three baseball fields at Memorial Park is $675,000, town officials said.
The town staff had hoped to pay for park upgrades with money generated by Measure M, the 2019 parcel tax that failed to win voter approval. Now staffers are proposing to use $450,000 from Measure A, the county sales tax for parks, and another $178,000 from state funds.
That leaves a shortfall of $47,000. The Town Council is set to determine Tuesday whether to approve the project and authorize staff to advertise for construction bids.
