Vivalon nonprofit promotes analyst
Vivalon, the San Rafael nonprofit formerly known as Whistlestop, has promoted its business analyst to “director of healthy aging.”
Joanne Halliday, who joined the organization in June, began her new role last month. Halliday previously held positions in technology support and information technology at Salesforce and Gap Inc.
In her new position, Halliday will oversee nutrition and support services, social engagement and other programs. Halliday will also guide the expansion of partnerships with community health care providers on healthy aging efforts, such as in-home care, medical referrals and meal deliveries.
Vivalon is a nonprofit that serves older and disabled adults.

The Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership recently added a nonprofit veteran and a communications specialist to leadership roles.
Patricia Murillo has been hired as chief program officer. Murillo previously worked for more than 25 years in nonprofit leadership roles, including senior director of program services at the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco.
Maryam Nabi has been hired as the codirector of marketing and communications. Nabi, who has more than 10 years of experience in communications, held a similar position at the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park.

Shari Dagg was recently named board president of the To Celebrate Life Breast Cancer Foundation.
Dagg, who previously served on the board in 2015, rejoined in 2019. She replaces Kristen Bennett, who was president the past four years.
The Kentfield-based nonprofit provides support for underserved breast cancer patients.

The West Marin Fund, a nonprofit foundation that supports community organizations, has named three new board members: Bolinas resident Patricia Briceño, owner and member of Black Mountain Artisans, a West Marin fiber artist collective; Catherine King, a Tomales resident and arts and media producer; and June Stall Robles, a singer and personal banker who lives in Inverness.
