Many reasons to support recall of Gavin Newsom

-

I am writing to encourage people to sign the petition to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom.

After taking office, he unilaterally overruled the will of the people by halting the death penalty, which we the people voted for and passed twice. Newsom backs unions and shut down public schools, then sent his children to private schools.

He shut down indoor dining throughout the state and then went to a high-end restaurant to dine with his government lobbyists shortly after the shutdown.

Under this watch, prisoners infected with COVID-19 were transferred from Chino to San Quentin, crowding our hospitals and infecting San Quentin prisoners and prison employees. Lack of oversight at the Employment Development Department led to relief checks being sent to convicts in prison and the freezing of accounts for some truly needy residents.

More mainstream grievances fueling the recall include the state’s slowness in vaccinating the population against coronavirus. Newsom has presided over an uneven and confusing rollout that puts California among the worst performing states in an underperforming country. He’s in the midst of trying to right the effort by turning it over to private health care giants in an arrangement that his administration has struggled to explain.

If you would like to sign the petition to recall Newsom, please go to the website recallgavin2020.com.

Carefully read all instructions, print out the petition form and mail it back to the address on the form or request a petition to be mailed to your address.
