Milda Wardenburg

-

Milda Wardenburg died peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones on October 16, 2021. Born in 1931, she was one of nine children raised on the Schiltz dairy farm in Caledonia, Minnesota, growing up surrounded by family, the Catholic faith and a tradition of hard work. She lived with grace and humility, regardless of what life brought her way. Married in 1953, the family lived in many places across the country before settling in Marin County, California. Milda was an admired waitress at Westlake Joe’s, San Rafael Joe’s, and Marin Joe’s for 40 years. She was incredibly dedicated to her entire family, work, and the San Francisco Giants.

Throughout her lifetime, Milda was known for her creativity, style and beauty, love of sports, travel and a good Euchre game. She adored her grandchildren, never missing a chance to attend one of their sporting events or performances and handed down favorite traditions, baking an abundance of Christmas cookies and cinnamon rolls to everyone’s delight.

Milda is survived by her six children: Peter (Lorrie), Carla (Andrew), Ellen (Lance), Merri, Julie, and Michael (Lisa); her 13 grandchildren, of whom she was very proud: Rachel, Cayla, Elizabeth, Brian (fiancée Mackenzie), Andrew, Olivia (Brandon), Matthew, Siera, Eric, Daniel, Elena, Carolyn, and Madeline; and her nieces and nephews.
