Redwood girls roll over San Rafael

Selma Deisz made five 3-pointers as Redwood beat San Rafael, 46-27, on Saturday. Deisz finished with 20 points, while Bridgette Ryning posted a huge doubledoub­le with 16 points and 18 rebounds for the Giants (5-9, 2-2 MCAL).

Ambelia Rodas led the Bulldogs (8-6, 2-3) with 17 points.

Redwood is slated to host Branson on Tuesday, while San Rafael is scheduled to face Tam.

• Gracyn Lovette’s 21 points led Marin Catholic past Terra Linda, 6932. Madie Dayton rang up 13 points and Bella Jigalin added 10 points for the Wildcats (10-4, 4-0). Terra Linda (7-7, 3-2) is scheduled to play San Marin on Tuesday.

Men’s basketball

Dominican couldn’t defend against the longrange shooting of Point Loma during a 75-65 home loss on Saturday. Justin Brown scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Penguins, who fell behind by nine points in the first half. Adam Parker had a 12-point night, while Zamaria Odom and Jorden Josephs each scored 11 points.

While Dominican hit six of 18 3-pointers, Point Loma nailed 13 of 30 from long range, including three by Brock Mackenzie, who ended the night with 11 points. Kaden Anderson led Point Loma with 21 points.
