Fire damages home and injures firefighter
A fire on Mohawk Avenue injured a firefighter and caused about $500,000 in damage to a home, according to the Central Marin Fire Department.
The fire started at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, said fire department Battalion Chief Dan Reese. He said firefighters contained the fire to a first-floor room.
The injured firefighter suffered a minor hand wound that did not require hospital treatment, Reese said.
The fire remained under investigation Thursday.
