Skewes-Cox deserves a vote for Ross Council

-

If nothing else, David Peterson's recently published letter concerning the Ross Town Council election did one thing: It solidified my support for Nick Skewes-Cox.

Peterson's words were puffery that reminded me of similar advice (mostly from “experienced” businessmen) my wife received about starting her company 37 years ago. They paternalistically told her to not get ahead of herself, pay her dues and get more experience. She chose to ignore them.

Eight years later, she was on the cover of Forbes magazine.

Yes, there will be a learning curve for Skewes-Cox, but he has the intellectual capacity, heart and determination to make short work of it. It is a non-issue. Conversely, I think there are many good reasons for term limits on the council. Town councils need fresh ideas and energy to thrive. They need a diversity of thought, experience and perspective that comes from bringing new people on board. Skewes-Cox provides that.

Skewes-Cox is the fourth generation of his family to live in Ross, with a young daughter set to attend Ross schools. He is smart and motivated by preserving and enhancing what is good about our community. Allow him the opportunity to serve by giving him one of your votes for Ross Town Council.
