James F. Strenkofsky

Jim Strenkofsky, age 74, of Lagunitas, passed away at home on May 5, 2022 from advanced dementia.

Jim was born in Wapun, Wisconsin. He attended Drake University in Iowa, then graduated from The Brooklyn School of Pharmacy. He volunteered to serve in the Army, and was stationed in Fort Ord. He loved Northern California so much that he vowed to stay, settling in Marin County. Jim worked at Kaiser Permanente as a pharmacist for 38 years, where he also met his partner and wife of 35 years. Jim and Debby loved to hike, kayak, and bike the hills and waterways of Marin. Jim spent many years playing tennis, then switched to golf, the other love of his life.

Jim is survived by his wife Debby; his step-children Ashley and Brandon Johnson; and his stepmother Lynn Strenkofsky of Hilton Head, South Carolina.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at his home on Arroyo Road in Lagunitas, June 4, 2022 between 3-5 p.m. Please park on the street.
