Art Works Downtown invites visual artists to submit artworks featuring, or inspired by, the enjoyment of food. The exhibit seeks to showcase a wide variety of approaches, explorations and expressions about this most nourishing, critical and enjoyable aspect of our lives. Family Nature Day
Join WildCare in partnership with Richardson Bay Audubon along with Marin County Parks, One Tam’s Roving Ranger, Marin Humane, Sonoma Wildlife Rescue, The Marine Mammal Center and Friends of China Camp for the annual Family Nature Day honoring Elizabeth Terwilliger. This free event will take place
March 25 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Richardson Bay Audubon Center & Sanctuary in Tiburon. Learn about local wildlife, go on a naturalist-led hike, dissect an owl pellet, create a wildlife themed craft, take the scavenger hunt challenge, use spotting scopes to watch birds from the patio of the historic Lyford House, meet live nonreleasable wildlife, and much more. Bring a picnic to enjoy or purchase lunch from the food truck. Street parking is available on site.

Ring Mountain grassland restoration
Marin County Parks will host its monthly drop-in workday on March 25 to help restore native grasslands on Ring Mountain. Learn about the plants and animals that inhabit this unique place, and the importance of volunteers. Activities include removing invasive plants, collecting seeds, installing tarps or planting natives. Appropriate for ages 5 and older. Snacks and water will be provided. Bring gloves and a water bottle. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel the event; if in doubt, text or call 415-250-0941 two hours before the event to confirm the status.
