IGFA LIGHT TACKLE TOURNAMENT Palm Beach, Florida February 6-8, 2020

With eight sailfish releases on dead bait, the Ma Sheila team of Will Tomlinson, Capt. Chris Santarsiero, Jeff Wright, Scott Levin and Brian Boyle won the inaugural IGFA Light Tackle Tournament with a total of 2,400 points. Wright was also named the Top Angler for the event. Reel Anglers placed second with eight sails on live bait for 1,400 points, while Lunatico finished in third with six sailfish on live bait and 1,200 points.

SAILFISH CHALLENGE South Florida February 19-23, 2020

With teams fishing from three inlets— Miami’s Government Cut, Hillsboro Inlet in Pompano Beach, and Lake Worth Inlet in Palm Beach—flexibility to follow the bite was the key to victory. Reel Estate/ Shell Yeah placed first with six sailfish releases, followed by Jichi with six and Reel Addiction, also with six. For the tournament, 55 teams released 112 sailfish.

PESCADORA BILLFISH CHAMPIONSHIP Quepos, Costa Rica February 20-22, 2020

Big Oh’s Camila Ingram won first place in the IGFA-release division while Lori Bagliore won the hook-and-hand division in what has become one of the most popular ladies’ tournaments in the world. A total of 34 teams released 341 billfish in the two-day event.
