Brandon Golueke landed the largest white marlin in this year’s event, a 97-pounder worth $1.85 million, on Canyon Blues. Taylor Fields had the second-place fish at 77 pounds, good for $1.76 million for Drillin’ and Billin’, while Travis Ort’s second-place tuna, a 114.5-pound yellowfin, made him the third million-dollar winner at $1,414,000.

The team on Chachalocos broke the tournament record with a 704-pound blue marlin on the final day to win $204,284, although True Grit’s black marlin, a 306-pounder, was worth multiple daily jackpots and a total of $559,870.
El Suertudo won the tournament’s release division, worth $44,000.
THE MID-ATLANTIC
Cape May, New Jersey
August 16-21
Blood Money weighed in a 91-pound white marlin to earn first-place honors in that division; Big Oil and Fish On each landed white marlin weighing 77 pounds and finished in second and third, respectively. Griffin had the largest qualifying blue marlin at 815 pounds, and Wave Paver was named the top release team.
