CAP CANA CLASSIC October 21-23, 2021

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Blackhawk scored a big win in the Caribbean with first place in the Cap Cana Classic: 2,300 points from a mix of blues, whites and sails. Sisu finished second with 2,200 points, and Sandman came in third with 2,100 points. The fleet released a total of 116 billfish.

EL SALVADOR INTERNATIONAL BILLFISH TOURNAMENT

November 9-13, 2021

Bahia del Sol, El Salvador

The team on Spindrift won this year’s hotly contested billfish division with an incredible 121 sailfish and one blue marlin in three days. The King and I was second with 108 sailfish and two blue marlin, also winning the event’s marlin division, while Monique was third with 95 sailfish.

ISLAMORADA SAILFISH TOURNAMENT

December 2-5, 2021

Islamorada, Florida

Capt. John Hagen led the Mdala team to victory with 10 sailfish releases. Wally Whitley and the Que Mas team finished in second place with six sails, followed by Remix in third, also with six sailfish releases. Contagious angler Mark Mitchell released four sails, winning the Bill Hirni Memorial Trophy as the event’s top angler.
