PIRATE’S COVE SAILFISH CLASSIC December 2-5, 2021 Stuart, Florida

Taking home first place in the three-day tournament was the team fishing aboard the 68-foot Paul Mann Champagne Lady, with 10 sailfish releases. They were followed by Intents, a 62-foot Viking, with seven, and Floridian, a 60-foot Sportsman, with six releases. Tournament rules mandate 20-pound-test line and trolling with circle-hook-rigged dead bait only.

FISH FOR HOLLY SAILFISH TOURNAMENT

January 7-8, 2022 Islamorada, Florida

The team aboard Time Out won this year’s one-day tournament with eight sailfish releases, followed by Olympic Gold with six, and Dauntless releasing five. Time Out’s Jenny Mason was named the top overall angler. The event hosted a fleet of 65 boats and serves as an important fundraiser for the Florida Keys community, honoring the life of Holly Given.

PELICAN YACHT CLUB INVITATION­AL BILLFISH TOURNAMENT

January 10-15, 2022

Fort Pierce, Florida

Capt. John Dougherty led the Outrage team to victory with 12 sailfish in this year’s popular event. Capt. Mike Brady and the Cowpoke team finished in second with eight, followed by Capt. Garett Yarbrough on Lo Que Sea in third with seven sailfish releases.
