BLUE AND GOLD
• It’s been said that success is found at the three-way intersection of preparation, hard work and luck, especially in a high-stakes tournament such as the Bisbee’s Black & Blue Marlin Jackpot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Million-dollar marlin are caught long before the first line goes in the water. Aboard the 80-foot Viking Hooray, tournament prep means an early start and the hunt for live bait off the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula. On the water for days prior to the start of the main event, the team will assess the conditions, develop a pattern, and then hope for a bit of luck along the way.
