Million-dollar marlin are caught long before the first line goes in the water. Aboard the 80-foot Viking Hooray, tournament prep means an early start and the hunt for live bait off the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula. On the water for days prior to the start of the main event, the team will assess the conditions, develop a pattern, and then hope for a bit of luck along the way.
