MAKING THE CONNECTION

I really enjoyed reading “The Custom Connection” (Marlin, February 2022) and thought the author did a great job. Jerry Harris is one of the guys who really helped out a lot of the North Carolina charter boats over the years, and a bunch of their clients ended up going to him to have rods built to use on their own private boats. He’s one of those important figures in this sport who always seem to remain behind the curtain and never get the credit that they deserve, so thank you for taking the time to write this about him. At least now it seems that Jerry is finding some more time to spend with his grandkids, and I’m sure that makes him happy.
