Montgomery Well Drilling in business for over 30 years

- By James Master Assistant Editor

For over 30 years, Montgomery Well Drilling has been serving the community by providing first-rate residential and commercial repairs, installation, and maintenance. Owned by Torie Montgomery and Tim Filson, Tim is the driller and the president of the business. They took ownership in January 2020. Currently, they have eight employees.

Building their customer base through hard work and determination, Montgomery Well Drilling is fully licensed and equipped to offer a complete range of well drilling services. The business services all water well needs from drilling a new well to servicing existing wells. They drill 4-inch residential wells and commercial wells, all the way up to 12-inch irrigation wells.

“A hazard of hiring a company that doesn’t employ skilled professionals is risking the operation to a company with less knowledge and experience. All of our service technicians are licensed pump installers and well drillers through Indiana DNR and we are required to take Continuing Education classes to maintain their licenses,” said Filson.

For those that might not know, the process of drilling a well is done in two operations. First, the well is drilled with a drill rig. Tim states that the process takes several hours depending on the depth of the well. Then, the hookup crew buries a line from the well to the building, installs the pump, and plumbs in the line and the bladder tank.

Some customers might not have a ‘well’ of knowledge when it comes to well maintenance, installation, and repairs. “The public may not know that all ground water comes out of sand and gravel formation. A client should consider Montgomery Well Drilling for their well drilling needs because our customers come first whether drilling or servicing their well,” he said.

Based in Marshall County, the company has built its customer base through hard work and determination.

“We take great pride in providing you with top-level service and promise complete satisfaction when choosing us for all your well drilling needs,” states their website, www.montgomerywell.com.
