Country Corner is a very unique daycare/ preschool, nestled on four acres surrounded by white pines and flowers. The mother/daughter team of Karen and Trista Fritter is devoted in teaching the children with a state approved nature curriculum. Country Corner has met all the state requirements to become a Level 4 in the Paths to Quality voluntary program. Level 4 is the highest accomplishment to become Nationally Accredited. Through the National Wildlife Federation, Country Corner is the only daycare/preschool in Marshall County that is recognized as a Certified Wildlife Habitat. This summer Karen and Trista will earn their certification to become a Nature Explore Classroom. This will be a very big achievement as very few daycares/preschools have accomplished this.

Country Corner assists children in discovering their own gifts and building new strengths. The children are able to meet live animals and able to explore outdoor places. Children have a unique opportunity to develop a “sense of place” rooted in a deep appreciation of the land and its inhabitants. Nature serves as a blank slate which upon a child draws. In nature, a child finds freedom. Nature is equipped to meet every child’s learning style.

As a fully licensed daycare/preschool, they emphasize a balanced curriculum that seeks to develop the whole child. Our weekly themes flow with the seasons and focus on a child’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional skill development. We want learning to be fun for the children. This is why Country Corner is a nature based early childhood program. Country Corner provides the perfect place for nature-based learning. Our gardens and natural outdoor classrooms are an ideal setting for learning, exploring and playing. If you love nature and want your child to be involved in a natural learning environment, Country Corner might be the perfect fit for your family. The daycare/preschool is smaller than most with an enrollment of not more than 16 children. Country Corner is where learning comes naturally and our friends are wild.
