Mulled Cider

Com­bine 3 cups ap­ple cider, 2 cups dry red wine, ½ cup maple syrup, 1 tea­spoon black pep­per­corns, 1 sliced orange, and 1 sliced ap­ple in a medium pot. Gen­tly sim­mer over medium-low heat for 10 min­utes. Serve warm, in mugs. Serves 6.
