Gaithers celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

Bill and Jean Gaither of Sun City, Fla., formerly of La Plata, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 12. The couple was married May 12, 1957, and have three children, Lori (Bobby) Latham of Lake Wales, Fla., Glenn (Cindy) Gaither of Nokomis, Fla., and Mark (Tammy) Gaither of Gambrills; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Bill Gaither retired from AT&T and gave 26 years of service to the Charles County Rescue Squad. Jean Gaither spent 23 years teaching, 10 years at W.J. Mitchell Elementary School and 13 years with Grace Lutheran Church. She also served the Charles County Rescue Squad for 10 years.
