At the scene, Deputy Johnson contacted the victim, who was found sitting in his work van. The victim had blood and swelling on the right side of his face, according to Johnson.

Both the front and rear passenger side tires of the van were allegedly slashed by Lowe, according to the victim, because the victim was in bed with his girlfriend.
