Another vote for Lukas

As a longtime resident of Charles County and a mother of two Charles County Public School students, I am writing to share my enthusiastic support for Mike Lukas for Board of Education. Like many of our families, Mike has deep roots in the county. As a parent of a Charles County Public School former student and tax paying resident, he understands the challenges facing both the schools and the families living in the community. I know Mike to be someone who gives personalized attention to critical issues, someone who listens carefully to both sides and asks questions about the issues that some may choose to ignore. In addition, Mike will carry out his own research, including visiting with and talking with community members to gather facts and to assess the impact firsthand. His approach makes him an effective official, who fully considers all options before making important decisions.

I can attest from so many years ago, when we elected Mike Lukas to the Board of Education that a vote for Mike Lukas is a pledge to listen to the needs of parents, children and the

community to act upon our interests.

I urge fellow residents of Charles County to please vote for Mike Lukas on Nov. 6 because we need him re-elected to the Board of Education. Mike shares our belief and is working hard to ensure our schools are a safe learning environment that all students can enjoy and take part in its social activities. Mike promotes excellence in education for all students from different backgrounds and pushes the board to have our students perform capably within our local economy.
