La Plata UMC to host Harvest Dinner

is holding its annual Harvest Dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, in the Fellowship Hall, 3 Port Tobacco Road, La Plata. The menu features ham, roast turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, candied sweet potatoes, green beans, kale, cranberrie­s, rolls, drinks and dessert. Good Samaritan to host annual bazaar

annual Holiday Bazaar is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 13025 Good Samaritan Drive in Waldorf. St. James’ hosts Famous Fall Bazaar

is hosting its annual Famous Fall Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3. Gift hunters will find a selection of crafts, antiques and jewelry, as well as cookies, pies and apple dumplings at the bake sale. Waldorf church celebratin­g 25 years

25th Church Anniversar­y Celebratio­n is at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at Middleton Hall, 4045 Renner Road, in Waldorf. The guest preacher will be the Rev. 3 Port Tobacco Road in La Plata, is hosting its annual Holiday Shoppe & Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17. Two large rooms of vendors with one-of-a-kind items, Recycled Christmas, silent auction for a Craft Circle quilt and the Homemade Bake Sale are all on tap. Proceeds go to the church’s mission projects.
