Memorial fund for Eastons at arts party

Donations to a memorial fund for the late Sara Easton, wife of Marysville Police Chief Aaron Easton, will be accepted during Yuba Sutter Arts’ art party next week.

“We were all devastated by Sara’s passing,” said Elizabeth Smith, vicepresid­ent of the Yuba Sutter Arts board. “We want to raise some money to help Sara’s family with the many expenses following such a devastatin­g loss.”

Sara Easton, 31, died at her home on Aug. 16.

The event will be from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, in the Yuba Sutter Arts Gallery, 624 E St., Marysville. Profession­al art instructio­n by artist Christina May, snacks and entertainm­ent will be featured at the party.

Entry is $50 and covers instructio­n, art supplies, food and a donation to the fund. Yuba Sutter Arts will also accept individual donations to the Sara Lynn Easton fund.
