State approves Rideout’s helipad for use

Emergency air ambulances can now take flight and land atop Rideout’s helipad. It was authorized for use by the state on Thursday.

The rooftop helipad will be used primarily to receive trauma patients or those needing immediate care from Colusa, heat bearable.

Once dinner was ready to be served, pastor Tom Trip led the group in a blessing of the food. The crowd then turned its attention to Jackie Rose, a sophomore at Sutter High School, as she sang the Butte, Yuba and Sutter counties, according to a Rideout Regional Medical Center press release. The helipad enables the hospital to also quickly transport its most critical patients to specialty centers when needed.

“This is very exciting news, as prompt treatment for trauma patients can often mean the difference between life and death,” national anthem.

Dinner was prepared by three Colusa restaurant­s: Rocos Bar and Grill, Colusa Casino and Market said Rideout Health CEO Gino Patrizio in the press release. “With our new helipad, not only will the trip from the scene of an accident or severe illness to the hospital be quicker if needed, we will be able to take a patient straight to the surgery suite from our secure roof-top elevator.”

Trauma specialist­s are on-call 24/7 to treat traumatic injuries of all types and all staff has received intensive, hands-on patient safety training, according to the release.
