Sutter Area 1 Sutter Buttes advanced to the title round of District 2’s major softball allstar tournament with an victory over Sutter Area in a battle of unbeatens on Thursday night at Colusa Little League.

Abby Shackelfor­d and Emma Lapera both sin- gled and scored twice for Sutter Buttes, which improved to 4-0 at the tourney. Shackelfor­d also earned the win in the circle by allowing four hits and striking out three over four innings.

Isabella Castaneda recorded three hits and scored once, and Hannah McCaw chipped in with an RBI single to provide the offense for Sutter Area.

South Sutter 7, Olivehurst-Linda 6 Kylee Brent finished a perfect 4-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, and Sydnee Schuler drove in three runs to power South Sutter to an eliminatio­n game victory over Olivehurst-Linda on Thursday night.

Jocelyn Becerra singled and scored a run, and Meika Lauppe struck out three and allowed seven hits to record the win for South Sutter, which played Sutter Area on Friday night for a chance to play Sutter Buttes in the title round.

Danni Farris drove in a run, Lexi Vega singled and scored twice, and Bianca Yanez singled and scored once to lead the way for Olivehurst-Linda.
