Re: Euthanized puppies

I am writing in response to the June 23 article on the front page: “11 pit bull puppies put down in Yuba County.”

I would like to make a plea to all pet owners: It is your responsibility to spay and neuter your pets, an extension of your family. Pit bulls are generally not vicious if they are trained properly and are kept behind a fence or inside. There is no excuse for allowing them to carelessly reproduce and run wild.

So I am making three principle points: Spay and neuter your pets, train them to be gentle, keep them in your yard or home.
