Local club needs help funding trip
The Supreme Athletics 10U competitive baseball team qualified for the National Youth Baseball Championships in New York City after winning a NYBC qualifier tournament at the Mather Sports Center in Sacramento from March 10-11.
Supreme Athletics, based out of Plumas Lake, went 3-0 on championship Sunday while outscoring its opponents 26-10 against top-tier competition. They ended the tournament by slugging 12 home runs over the two days.

the No. 1-ranked team in California in its age group by All World Baseball. They accomplished their top ranking by
beating the top-ranked teams in California and Nevada.
Players on the team are Masen Belding, Cole Callison, Ezekiel Garcia, Izaiyah Hays, Brody Johnson, Mason Mccall, Brody Miller, Bode Mills, Eliaja Moncher, Jonny Munger and Brandon Pelechowicz.
With the tournament in New York set for July, the organization is looking to raise money to help cover the players’ and coaches’ airfare, and also to help with boarding costs.
A softball tournament fundraiser will be held April 21-22 at the Blackburn Talley Sports Complex in Yuba City.
