For the last twenty years Duplicate Bridge Players have been meeting at the Moose Lodge in Yuba City to play the ultimate card game – Duplicate Bridge.

Players keep returning because bridge is both fun and challenging. Many of the players get quite competetive, but it is also a great way to make friends. Duplicate Bridge is played with a standard deck of playing cards and four players comprised of two partnerships. Duplicate bridge differs from other forms of bridge because the same deal ( ie. the specific arrangement of the cards into four hands) is played at each table, and scoring is based on relative performances. This way the element of skill is heightened while that of chance is reduced.

The Yuba City Duplicate Bridge Club is changing their venue from the Moose Lodge in Yuba City to St. John’s Episcople Church at 8th & D Street in Marysville. Game times and days will remain the same:

Monday at 12:30 p.m. and Thursday at 12:30 p.m.

I take this opportunity to announce the change and invite bridge players to come and check us out. Our first game in our new home will be June 4th. We are planning a pot luck on that first day and so will begin an hour earlier. Please call Mary Mayfield at 755-0116 if you have any questions and wish to participate. A partner will be found for you if needed.
