Sutter 56, Gridley 47 In Sutter – The Huskies were able to defeat Gridley on Tuesday despite a valiant effort by the Lady Bulldogs.

Gridley was led by Maddyson Tull with 18 points, Emma Little with 16 points and Kennedy Tull with seven points and nine rebounds.

Sutter on the other hand used a lot of their talent towards their victory: Sienna Hundal tallied 10 points and eight rebounds, Macie Purbaugh scored nine points and Regan Ford recorded 10 points and three steals.

Sutter (10-9, 3-0) will look to build off the win when they play Oroville at home on Thursday, while Gridley (13-1, 10-1) will play Corning on Thursday at home. BOYS BASKETBALL

Freshmen Wheatland 37, Orland 24 In Orland – The Pirates freshmen boys team came away with a solid defensive win on Tuesday when they defeated Orland by a 13-point margin.

The Pirates were led by Jacob Wilkins with 19 points and Adam Strebel with 10 points.

Wheatland (7-4, 3-0) will be back on the court on Thursday when they host Las Plumas.

Junior Varsity Sutter 68, Gridley 43 In Gridley – The Bulldogs JV team was able to dominate for a solid victory on Tuesday.

Sutter was led by the play of Aryan Sharma with 14 points and Kyle Giovannoni with 12 points and four steals.

Sutter JV (12-7, 2-1) will play at Oroville on Friday. Woodcreek 67, River Valley 57 In Roseville – The Timeberwol­ves defeated River Valley JV on Tuesday night by a close 10-point margin.

Despite the loss, the Falcons JV team saw a great performanc­e from Diego Macias with 11 points.

River Valley JV (11-9, 2-3) will be back on the

court on Thursday when they play Antelope. Inderkum 59, Yuba City 56 In Yuba City – The Honkers JV team fell in a tough game on Tuesday by a three point margin.

Despite the tough loss, the Honkers were led by Matt Biggins with 23 points and Mason Lomeli with 11 points. Jalen Hale also contribute­d with 10 points.

Yuba City JV (13-6) will host Woodcreek at home on Thursday. Marysville 70, Lindhurst 30

In Olivehurst – The Indians junior varsity team was able to notch a solid victory on Tuesday night against the Blazers.

The Indians were led by J.B. Brown with 21 points and Devon Conway with 16 points.

Next up for the JV Indians will be Foothill on Thursday at home.

Varsity Colusa 87, Live Oak 43 In Live Oak –The Redhawks were able to come away with a solid victory on Monday when they defeated the Lions by a 44-point margin.

The Redhawks were led by old brother, Conner Saso with 18 points as well as Blake Steidlmaye­r with 15 points.

Also contributi­ng was Christian Mata with 10 points.

Gridley 64, Sutter 54 In Gridley – The Bulldogs were able to close out their win against Sutter at home on Tuesday despite the Huskies closing it to a 6-point deficit with only a minute left.
