102ND BIRTHDAY Anita Russell

Anita Russell was born Feb. 6, 1917 in San Francisco. She has two children, Roselyn Pillinini of Yuba City and Norman Russell who lives with his wife Janet in Santa Barbara. Anita has two grandchild­ren, Dino Pillinini who resides with his wife in Healdsburg, and Lisa Pillinini of Live Oak.

She also has two great grandchild­ren, Grace and Mary.

Anita worked for the same company for 37 years in the shipping dept.

They made radio transmitti­ng tubes and other related things. They also made special tubes that have gone into outer space.

Anita belongs to the Marysville Art Club and enjoys the monthly luncheons and seeing all of her lady friends.

Anita has survived the Great Depression, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War and more.

She attributes her longevity to home grown vegetables, fruits, fresh eggs, chickens and other meats. She danced her whole life and she said a little wine never hurt.

Her daughter hosted a dinner party for her birthday.
