Some local entertainment organizers recently came up with an idea for a new and tasty Marysville event: the Yuba-sutter Taco Fest, now being planned for April.

Wally Alvarado said he recently put out a sort of “Save the Date” on social media to see how people reacted. Since then, the event posting has blown up, having reached over 50,000 people and shared about 800 times on Facebook.

“I knew it was going to have a reaction, but not on this scale,” he said.
