The Yuba-sutter Gold Sox announced on Saturday that they have completed their search for front office and field management positions.

Former Gold Sox manager, Jack Johnson, was hired as a special adviser. Johnson played nine years of minor league baseball with the Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim organizations.

Other notable hires include the 2019 manager of the club, Michael Fratnz. The former Gold Sox player is one of only ten Gold Sox who played over 100 games for the ball club.

“Bringing Jack (Johnson) and Mike (Frantz) back is a big step in our organization’s plan to bring back stability to the Gold Sox and return the club to being the best collegiate summer league organization in the country.” Lininger added: “It is important to us that we provide the community with high quality fun and affordable family entertainment. Bringing back our old Gold Sox family will help us achieve these goals.”

Another hire that Lininger made was that of Wayne Franklin, a former MLB player for the Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves.

Franklin is currently the head coach at San Francisco State and will help out with the Gold Sox coaching staff using his seven year MLB career for reference.

The Yuba–sutter Gold Sox will have more information containing team rosters and schedules as spring moves forward.
