CFP releases committee members, ranking schedule

The College Football Playoff selection committee on Thursday released the in-season rankings schedule and the recusals lineup for 2019 – two pieces of informatio­n that might be far from mind now but will take center stage in a few months.

Here are three brief lists for your perusing pleasure now, but make sure they’re handy when November arrives and the angst begins: *** No. 1: The committee members Chair: Rob Mullens, athletic director (Oregon)

Gary Barta, (Iowa)

Frank Beamer, former coach (Virginia Tech)

Paola Boivin, former sportswrit­er (Arizona Republic)

Joe Castiglion­e, athletic director (Oklahoma)

Ken Hatfield, former coach (multiple schools)

Chris Howard, former player/current president (Robert Morris) Ronnie Lott, former player (USC) Terry Mohajir, athletic director (Arkansas State)

Ray Odierno, former player/chief of staff (Army)
