The performances will be held on December 11 and 12 at 7pm and again on December 14 at 2pm. Enjoy cookies and cocoa, listen to the beautiful voices, watch the Applause Kids!’ play and enjoy this unique holiday celebration! The location is the historic Burrows Theater at Yuba Sutter Arts, 630 E Street in Marysville. General admission is $10 and $5 for those 12 and under. Pre-sale tickets are available at the Yuba Sutter Arts office or at the door while they last. All proceeds benefit the Youth Choir, Applause Kids! and Yuba Sutter Arts’ other Arts in Education programs.

Applause Kids! theme this year is “Once Upon A Time” featuring some hit Disney songs such as Pure Imagination” from Disney’s “Willy Wonka” and “Life’s

A Happy Song” from Disney’s “A Muppet Movie!” In this story, a group of kids are working together on their upcoming show. As they fall asleep, they wake up in a dream realm and some characters take advantage of their new world of no rules and no parents. What will they do?

Applause Kids! is under the direction of dancer, singer and performer, Stephenie Rodwell. Stephenie has studied and worked in New York and Los Angeles and locally at many dance studios and at The Acting Company.

“I’m so thrilled to have worked with this cast of kids! They are truly amazing and have soaked up the stage and all the tricks that come with it,” said Stephenie Rodwell, Applause Kids! General Director. “Helping these children navigate their interests in the performing arts has been a pleasure and always rekindles my love for theater! I hope you enjoy the show,” she added.

The Youth Choir is directed by Gay Galvin, Yuba Sutter Arts’ “Musician in Residence.” Gay has been singing and playing piano since she was six years old. Trained in classical and jazz styles, she has worked in big bands, musicals, jazz trios and various classical ensembles. She is an accomplished vocalist and has taught choir to all age levels.
