PET OF THE WEEK: PEANUT
Yuba City residents George and Rose Healy will celebrate their 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, August 1, 2020. George is a native of New York and Rose a native of Guam, USA, and have lived in Yuba
City for the past 29 years. They first met in Guam in 1967 while both were employed by Bank of America.
George and Rose were married at the
Good Sheppard Catholic Church in Pacifica, California, on Saturday, August 1, 1970. They have two children and six Grandchildren.
This week’s Pet of the Week is Peanut. Peanut is a 2 year old neutered Chihuahua mix. Peanut is a small guy of about 5 lbs. with a big personality. He loves to cuddle and gives kisses on demand. He likes other dogs but he’s kind of bossy so a small, mellow dog friend would be best for him. Small children might be too much for him because of his little size. If you’re looking for a Netflix friend to movie binge with, Peanut is your guy.
Peanut is neutered, up to date on shots, heart worm tested negative and microchipped. Peanut is currently in foster care with Resqpaws. If you would like to meet him, contact Resqpaws at info@resqpaws.org for an application or more information.
Please visit www.resqpaws.org or call 530-713-9079 for more information about sponsoring a shelter or foster pet, donating, fostering, adopting, or volunteering for Resqpaws Volunteer Organization. ‘Like’ Resqpaws Community Page on Facebook for updates and stop by our adoption events on Saturdays at Yuba City Petsmart to meet some wonderful cats and dogs needing homes.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic,
George and Rose are deferring appropriate celebration until a later date. However, friends and neighbors are encouraged to honk their horns when driving by their residence on Jamie Drive on August 1 during daylight hours.
