Feather River Tea Party Patriots to meet with special guest speaker Tamika Hamilton

-

The Feather River Tea Party Patriots announced Tamika Hamilton, a candidate for the District 3 House of Representatives seat, will be the special guest speaker for the next meeting on Monday, Aug. 3.

Hamilton served more than 14 years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force. She has been stationed at five different bases and was deployed twice in the Middle East as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, the United States Global War on Terrorism.

During her 14-year military service, she was awarded several prestigious medals, including the Air Force Achievement Medal, Joint Service Accommodation Medal, Air Force Meritorious Unit Award, and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

Three years ago, Hamilton chose to become an active Air Force Reservist to spend more time with her family. She and her husband, Ray Hamilton, live in Dixon with their four children.

Ray Hamilton is a U.S. Navy veteran and now serves in the community as a police officer.

Both Ray and Tamika Hamilton are active in their local church and volunteer in their community.

Tamika’s volunteer experience with homeless veterans inspired her to run for Congress.

The regular feature – “In the News” with Paul Preston, Agenda 21 radio host and New California movement president – will follow the special guest and discuss events of the day.

Everyone is welcome. There is no membership and no cost to attend.

The Feather River Tea Party Patriots meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be at Crossroads Community Church, 445 B St., Yuba City. Doors open at 6 p.m. Come early to register, socialize and get a good seat.
