Rosie M. Reed

Rosie M. Reed, born in Marysville, CA, August 28, 1932, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2022, at the age of 89.

Rosie was a resident of Yuba City for many years and retired as an LVN from Fremont Hospital. She enjoyed cooking and gardening, as well as spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Nick Reed; and grandchildren, Daxcimo Ceja and Caitlyn Fancher.

She leaves behind her children, Tony Reed of Sacramento, Karen Fancher of Colorado Springs, and Jeff Reed of Yuba City; six grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.

She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held at Sutter Cemetery on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 2 pm.

Alice Oletta Thornton, 83, of Marysville, CA, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2022. Alice was born in Oklahoma on August 31, 1938, to Arthur and Saralida Blair.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, James Thornton.

She is survived by her three children, Jimmy Thornton, Lisa Burleson and Greg Thornton; her sister, Charlletta Anderson; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at Lipp and Sullivan in Marysville, Friday, April 22, 2022, from 3 to 7 pm.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Wheatland Cemetery at 11 am.
