Beverly Irene Young was 94 at the time of her passing.

She was born to Raymond and Pearl Welch in Sacramento, CA. Her first 8 years were in Canada, then she moved to Princeton, CA, in 1935, and graduated from Princeton High in 1945.

She moved to San Francisco and worked for Standard Oil Company. Disliking the big city, she moved back to Princeton, CA, and married a rice farmer named Colon Young on January 28, 1946. They had three sons and one daughter who also were raised in Princeton, CA. The couple retired to Yuba City, CA, in 1968.

Beverly is survived by one son, Steven Curtis Young, and Doria Tawwater, a granddaugh­ter she raised, and many grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bette Rae; husband, two sons, Colon, Jr. and Thomas; and daughter, Mary Lee.

She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witness on July 11, 1952. She shared the Bible’s hope with many, changing their lives.

Matthew David Huffmaster was born on August 7, 1974, to David and Roberta Huffmaster of Yuba City, CA. He died in Sacramento on December 28, 2021.

His grandparen­ts were Leonard and Grace Hanson of Yuba City, CA, and Wilson and Vesta Huffmaster of Sites, CA. He went to school in Yuba City and was a graduate of Sutter Union High School, Sutter, and Chico State University, Chico.

He attended Christ Community Church in Carmichael and worked in technical support for the San Juan School District in Sacramento. He enjoyed hiking, hunting, target shooting, computer games and taking his daughters on camping trips and other outings.

He is survived by his father, David Huffmaster of Sutter, CA; two daughters, Amelia and Abigail Huffmaster of Wheatland, CA; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Huffmaster of Sutter, CA.

A celebratio­n of his life will be held at Christ Community Church, Carmichael, CA, on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 1:00 PM.

November 3, 1929April 21, 2022 Georgia Blair Poulos died on April 21, 2022, at the age of 92. She is survived by two of her four children and numerous grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

Georgia was the long time owner and operator of the “Uriz on A” restaurant and bar where she was well known for her hospitalit­y, dinner rolls and soups.

On May 28, 1988, after the death of their respective spouses, Georgia married Colonel William E. Poulos, AUS (Ret.), at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marysville, California. World-wide adventures were then opened to Georgia.

For many years, the couple took extended yearly trips to Europe to visit with long-time friends in London, (where they shared a flat with a Knight of the British Empire, who had fought in World War II with Bill); in Germany, on the Romantic Road; in Switzerlan­d; and, in Nice, on the French Riviera, (where they shared a villa with a Swedish army officer, who had been in the Arctic with Bill). Colonel Poulos pre-deceased Georgia in 2017.

A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Corning, California, at 11:00 a.m. on May 12, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, preceded by a Rosary at 10:00 a.m. Georgia will then be buried following the Mass in Corning near the “Raiser family plot” shared by her parents.
