Dr. Dennis A. Hall, M.D., 78, of North Apollo, PA, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 in AHN- Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born August 6, 1943 in Arnold, he was a son of the late Robert “Bob” Hall and Frances (Kerr) Hall.

Dennis was raised in Arnold, and at age 6, he and his family moved to Lower Burrell. Dennis attended Lower Burrell schools until 9th grade, when two teachers recommende­d him to the Milton Hershey School for Boys to enable him to achieve his lifetime dream of becoming a doctor.

After graduating from Milton Hershey H.S., Dennis attended Ursinus College for premed, followed by the University of Pennsylvan­ia. He interned at Hershey Medical Center, followed by a residency at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh. While at Montefiore, he served as chief resident.

Dennis’s career took him to California, where he worked as a researcher, clinician, and instructor at Stanford University. He then entered private practice as a nephrologi­st (kidney specialist) in the Yuba City-marysville area in California. Upon retirement, he relocated to North Apollo.

Dennis had many interests over the years including reading, yard work, the enjoyment of art and music, and genealogy, where he wrote several family histories. Dennis enjoyed spending time at the Vandergrif­t Historical Society. He and his sister, Judy, created censuses of a number of cemeteries in the Apollo and Vandergrif­t area.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his stepfather, Angelo Marcantoni­o; and his sister, Judy Pruett.

Dennis is survived by his sister, Marilyn (Dennis) Risher of Cuba City, Wisconsin; as well as nephews, a niece, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

Friends will be received on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Curranshaf­fer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo. A public graveside service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made in Dennis’s name to Orphans Of The Storm, P.O. Box 838, Kittanning, PA 16201.

1948 - 2022

Nancy Lee Edmonds, age 74, passed away June 23, 2022.

Nancy was born October 24, 1948 in Santa Monica, California. She grew up in Yuba City and graduated from Yuba City High School. She has been a resident of Mesa, Arizona for around 50 years.

Nancy loved doing crafts and attended many craft shows. She enjoyed working for Avon and AA for many years.

Nancy leaves behind her 3 children, Don Edwards, Aaron Edwards and Lisa Edwards. She was also proud of her grandkids, Brittany, Jermy, Spencer, Mya, Kadin and Ivy. Nancy also leaves behind her father, Larry Witherow, stepmom Carol Witherow, her aunt Lorraine Alverez and sisters, Linda Bowersox and Patty Brand, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Riddell, brother, Tom Chown and sister Sharon Huber. Nancy will be greatly missed by her family and friends!

A celebratio­n of life will be held July 11, 2022 in Mesa, Arizona.

Tarsem Singh Khangura, 82, of Yuba City, CA, passed away June 26, 2022. Born January 17, 1940 in Samrari, Punjab, India. He was a farmer and businessma­n as well as a Yuba-sutter resident for 66 years.

He is survived by his wife, Surjit Kaur of Yuba City, sons, Sarb Khangura (Ravinder Khangura daughter-inlaw) of Yuba City and Jasjit Khangura (Mandip Khangura daughter-inlaw) of Rocklin, grandson Rajan Khangura, granddaugh­ter Simran Khangura, granddaugh­ter Maya Khangura and grandson Millan Khangura.

Services will be held July 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Ullrey Memorial Chapel followed by Antim Ardaas at Tierra Buena Sikh Temple, Yuba City.
