Sansar Singh Gill
Sansar Singh Gill, son of Sardar Dewa Singh Gill and Sardarni Ishri Kaur Gill. Sansar Singh was born April 13, 1920, in Laksihan Hoshiarpur, India, and passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side, at the age of 103, on May 16, 2023. Sansar Singh Gill was born into the agriculture families. He had one brother and one sister, Guljara Singh Gill and Kartar Kaur.
After attending, Laksihan School he joined his agriculture farm with his dad. Sansar love for the land led him to become a fulltime farmer. His passion for farming could be seen by his hard work and long hours would put tilling, planting and watering his land growing near prefect crops. His family was always his number one priority and giving them a life of no hardship. He worked hard to provide a high level education to his children. He helped his children move to different countries like Canada, the UK and America where they settled and grew there families.
He was man of many trades and hobbies. He enjoyed watching India sports such as bull racing and kabaddi (Indian wrestling). He was a fan of traveling and visiting places when he could. He has been to Dubai, Canada, and so on. Finally, he moved to America 2016, and he stayed with his family in Yuba City the remainder of his life. He loved spending time with family and enjoyed every minute of it. His favorite times was when his wife make Makee di roti and saag which was his all time favorite. One thing he enjoyed the most was tea time.
He gave us more time than we expected and he will be deeply missed. He was a amazing son, husband, father, and grandfather. He is now watching over all of us and keeping us safe with the hand of god.
He is survived by his wife, Swaran Kaur; and his 5 sons and 4 daughters: Harbhjan Singh Gill (wife: Joginber Kaur Gill), Charnjeet Singh Gill (wife late: Balwinder Kaur Gill), Sarwan Singh Gill (wife: Harjinder Kaur Gill), Gurmeet Singh Gill (wife: Sarvindar Kaur Gill), Sohan Singh Gill (wife: Jaswinder Kaur Gill), and Charnjeet Kaur (husband late: Kulvir Singh), Surinder Kaur (husband: Amarjit Singh Wahid), Jasvir Kaur (husband: Karnal Singh Heer), and Sarbjit Kaur (husband late: Rewal Singh Thandi). He left behind many grandchildren/grandchildrenin-law; and also many great-grandchildren which he loved to spend time with.
A funeral service in memory of Sansar Singh Gill will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 10 am at the Holy Cross Funeral Home in Yuba City, followed by prayer services at Bogue Road Sikh Temple,
