Consuelo "Connie" Wiehn

-

Consuelo "Connie" Wiehn of Yuba City, California, passed away on May 12, 2023, at the age of 87.

She was born on April 5, 1936, in Brawley, CA, to Ysobel “Chevelo” Lopez and Delphine Ponce Lopez. As a teenager, she moved with her parents and brother, David Lopez Sr., to Northern California where she attended Marysville High School. It was in this small town that she met the love of her life, Larry Wiehn.

She and Larry were married in January 1961, and celebrated 60 years of marriage before he passed away in 2021. Together, they had three children: Stella Ann, Gary and Deanna, and granddaughter, Jamie who they helped raise.

To say Connie was the most incredible wife, mother, and grandmother is an understatement. She shared that the best decades of her life were those alongside Larry, watching her children and granddaughter growing up. She had a way of making others feel special and loved from the moment they met her.

For fun, she loved going to her son-in-law, Robert’s softball tournaments, Sacramento Kings games, shopping, yard sales, buying plants and flowers, and working in her beautiful yard which could be more accurately described as a botanical garden with her magic touch.

After Working as the Manager and a Floral Designer for over 30 years at the Country Florist, Connie retired but didn’t stop designing amazing centerpieces, flower arrangements, and every beautiful decoration she dreamed up for all holidays.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Russell Wiehn; motherin-law, Gladys Wiehn; husband, Larry Wiehn; son, Gary Wiehn; and daughter, Stella Ann Wiehn.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Rodriguez; and son-inlaw, Robert Rodriguez of Yuba City; daughterin-law, Gina Wiehn of Gridley; granddaughter, Jamie Wiehn of Yuba City, (Jovanny Quirino); brother, David Lopez Sr. of Marysville; and numerous nieces; nephews; and extended family members. To know Connie was to love her and her family welcomes all to remember her.
