Anna Ramirez Earley, passed away peacefully at the age of 89, on May 28, 2023. She was born in Marysville, CA, in 1933. She was one of eight children that grew up in Marysville.

While growing up, she spent time playing at her home near Ellis Lake and working on her family's peach orchards. Anna attended Notre Dame Catholic School and Mount St. Mary's Academy in Grass Valley.

Anna held many jobs in her life from a notary public to CA Division of Highways (Caltrans) to mother. In retirement, she enjoyed all things sewing, cooking, gardening and her wonderful grandchild­ren.

She was a member of the Magalia Beautifica­tion Associatio­n and the Paradise American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a master storytelle­r of the early days in Marysville.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Thomas; and her many siblings.

She is survived by her sons and spouses, Dan (Edna) and Jim (Laurie), grandchild­ren, Jack, Max, Luke and Aspen and Coosa (aka Shorty); and many nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

A Rosary will be held at Lipp and Sullivan in Marysville on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 7:00 pm.

A mass will take place at St. Joseph Church in Marysville on Friday June 2, 2023, at 11:00 am, followed by a reception. Burial will be at Sutter Cemetery.

Gurdish Kaur, age 63, passed away peacefully at her home on May 27, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 15, 1960, in Budhipind, Punjab.

Gurdish is survived by her husband, Tarlochan Bhatti; her daughter and son-inlaw, Kiran and Ajay Bhagirath; her son and daughter-in-law, Tajpal and Pallavi Bhatti; and her grandsons, Aiden and Devin Bhagirath.

She was preceded in death by her father, Darshan Singh Chohan; her mother, Gurbachan Kaur; and her brother, Rajinder Singh Chohan.

Gurdish was a kind and generous woman who always had a smile on her face. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed. In her free time, Gurdish enjoyed gardening, helping others, and socializin­g. Her love for these activities was a testament to her kind and caring nature.

Memorial services for Gurdish will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 9am at the Chapel of the Twin Cities in Yuba City. The burial ceremony will follow at Sutter Cemetery. We invite all those who knew and loved Gurdish to attend and pay their respects to this wonderful woman.

Jody Elizabeth Foxschulz, 54, of Yuba City, CA, passed away on May 3, 2023, due to complicati­ons of heart failure.

Jody was born on May 4, 1968, to Norman K. Fox and Elaine N. Fox in Oakland, CA. She was a devoted woman of God who attended Calvary Christian Center in Yuba City, CA. Her legacy lives with those whose lives she touched. She spent her life serving her family and friends with giving hands and an open home.

Jody moved to Yuba City, CA, where she lived out her last 10 years with Scott Sorensen and his 3 children. In Jody's final years she was often volunteeri­ng at NRA dinners and homeschool­ing the girls. However, nothing thrilled her quite like being a grandmothe­r, "Grammy" as they called her.

Jody was predecease­d by her father, Norman; and her grandparen­ts, Raymond and Rose Lugo.

She is survived by her mother, Elaine; children, Ryan, Jacquelynn, and Lauren; four grandchild­ren, Duke, Luca, Mckenzie, and Logan; significan­t other, Scott Sorensen; and her stepchildr­en, Dallas, Kimber, and Harley Sorensen.

A Celebratio­n of Life for Jody will be held in Yuba City, CA, on June 9, 2023, at Calvary Christian Center at 2:00 PM.

Born in Helwan, Egypt to her beloved mother, Mary Messiha and father, Amin Abadir, along with her siblings, Yvonne, Aziz, Maher, and Makram Messiha, Olga bravely immigrated to the United States with her 1-year-old daughter, Sherry and husband, Zarif Sawares.

Olga and Zarif were happily married for 58 years until his passing in 2015. She is remembered fondly as a renowned cook, caring mother, and loving grandmothe­r. Olga’s home was a place where all were welcomed and serenity was quickly found.

A resident of San Mateo County, CA, Olga enjoyed the picturesqu­e view from her home in the Belmont hills, where she was happily surrounded by lifelong friends. Olga lived in Yuba City, for the last almost 10 years, so she could prioritize what mattered to her most: family.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Sawares Ekdawy; her son-in-law, Dr. Ashraf Ekdawy; and her granddaugh­ters: Justine, Cassandra, Adreanna, and Angelina Ekdawy.

Known as a woman of strength, eternal optimist, with a smile that lit up the room, Olga was cherished by her family and friends. On Thursday, May 25, 2023, she passed away peacefully with family by her side.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 12:30pm at the Saint Antonius Coptic Orthodox Church at 2500 Hansen Rd., Hayward, California. Burial to follow at the Lone Tree Cemetery in Hayward, CA. The service will be concluded by a Celebratio­n of Life reception at Saint Antonius Coptic Church.
