Larry is survived by his daughter, Jill Lewis (Greg) of Marysville, California; his daughter, Julie Hall (Delano) of Yuba City, California; his sister, Janet Hamilton (Tom) of Yuba City, California; his brother ,Ray Westcamp (Vicki) and their family; his brother-in-law, Terry Mills (Teresa) of Carmichael, California; and his brother-in-law. Lou Mills of Yuba City, California.

He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and their families, seven grandchildren: Candice Sanders, Courtney Coolidge, Tanner Lewis, Davin Hall, Trevor Lewis, Dillon Hall, Jenna Hall and four great-grandchildren.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Westcamp and Jack and Phyllis Burton (Tolley); father and mother-in-law, Vernon and Gladys Mills; sisterin-law, Leasa Mills, and his beloved partner and wife, Verna Evelyn Westcamp.

Larry and Verna were happily married for 55 years, residing in Marysville, California.

Larry was an educator for over 30 years. He spent most of those years as the Principal at Far West Elementary School.

In their younger years, Larry and Verna were avid dancers; participating in the Mr. and Mrs. Dance Club and square dancing.

They thoroughly enjoyed packing up their trailer and heading to the coast and instilled their love of camping in their family. They retired together and traveled.

One of Larry’s favorite trips was loading their trailer on a train and riding it down to Mexico.

In retirement, they also helped run Verna’s brother Lou’s shop, The Cookie Jar, in Elk Grove, California, and later were camp hosts for several seasons at Mackerricher State Park in Fort Bragg (Surfwood Loop).

Larry loved bingo and Verna loved slot machines so you could also find them at a casino during a night out. They truly built a beautiful life, lived it to the fullest, and made a beautiful family. We will forever be grateful for them.

Larry was a great man. He had grit, class, and a heart of gold. Even when he was losing in our family card game, Oh Hell or playing Scrabble. (Which rarely happened – He was too good!)

He always took care of his family and handled business. When he spoke, it was with care and intent. Once he mentioned that he wasn’t sure what he’d do without his family and the feeling is mutual. We will miss him dearly.

Larry will be laid to rest at Browns Valley Cemetery and, as he wished, there will be a small, private memorial at home in Marysville, California.
